Mr. Cooper has worked in several key capacities over the years and has a wealth of knowledge related to young people, marriage & family and community related issues. He has volunteered countless hours mentoring and motivating youth and adults. He is both compassionate and yet tough. He has worked with schools, churches, communities and organizations designed to help people find their way back to a healthy emotional and spiritual place. Mr. Cooper’s most noted statement is “Motivation determines the speed one moves towards success, Commitment determines if they arrive, or not.”

Mrs. Cooper has worked in several key capacities over the years and has a wealth of knowledge related to young people, marriage & family and community related issues. Her time with the district attorney’s office has caused her to be an extremely powerful voice for women dealing with domestic violence. Her "take no excuses” attitude has forced many individuals to make life changes. She is both compassionate and yet tough; one who knows how to get results. As senior class president of UNC Wilmington, Mrs. Cooper delivered the commencement speech; a speech students will cherish for a lifetime.
